Accessibility Statement

We want every child to be able to use HexoQuest. We follow the WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines.

What we have done

• Sufficient contrast between text and background, and a visible focus indicator.
• Pages can be used with a keyboard, with a “Skip to content” link at the top.
• Images have text descriptions, and level goals announce “done” to screen readers.
• We respect the “reduce motion” setting of your operating system.
• In the lessons themselves, kids learn to write descriptions for images.

Known limitations

• Snapping blocks (Blockly) is designed for mouse or touch. Keyboard and screen reader support is limited for now.
