New course: Hexo's board, plus spotting AI photos
· version v14
Program a micro:bit-style board with blocks and get real MicroPython code, and play the new AI level where you hunt for mistakes in AI-made photos.
New course: Hexo's board
Hexo's board is a tiny computer with 25 lights, two buttons, a shake sensor, a thermometer, a light sensor and a speaker. Kids program it with blocks in ten levels: a beating heart, a drawn house, buttons A and B, an electronic dice, a step counter, a thermometer, a night light, a running dot and a reaction game for two.
Below the blocks, the real MicroPython code appears as you build. Schools and families with a micro:bit can copy it straight to python.microbit.org and run it on a real board.
The board reacts to the mouse, to touch and to the A and B keys. Press both buttons with the new A+B button or by holding one key and pressing the other.
AI or real photo?
The Artificial intelligence course has a new level: three photos made by AI, each with typical mistakes to find, such as extra fingers, gibberish signs, melting objects and a duck with two heads. The course now has ten levels and ten cards to collect, plus new artwork with Hexo.
