New game: Fix the phone in Hexo's repair shop
· version v13
Run Hexo's phone repair shop: diagnose the fault, open the phone safely, replace the screen, battery or charging port and fill the shop till.
There is a new game on HexoQuest: Fix the phone. Kids run Hexo's phone repair shop and fix phones for real-sounding customers, step by step, just like a real technician.
How a repair works
- Test first: power on the phone, measure the charging current with a USB meter, check the battery health, the speaker, the camera and the water indicator.
- Make a diagnosis: what is really wrong?
- Open the phone in the right order: warm the glue with a heater, lift the screen with a suction cup, cut the glue with picks, unscrew the metal bracket and disconnect the battery first.
- Replace the part: a screen, battery, charging port, speaker or camera from the shelf.
- Put it back together, test it and return it to the customer. Happy customers pay, and the shop till grows from Apprentice to Master technician.
Eight repairs
A cracked screen, a battery that doesn't last, a phone that won't charge, a dangerous swollen battery, a broken charging port, a phone rescued from the pool, a student on a tight budget and an express repair against the clock.
Safety first
The game teaches real safety habits: move a connector with the battery still connected and you get a spark, try to lift a battery without softening the glue and you get a fire warning, and too much heat damages the screen.
